A different message

Just a quick one today. Last year blogland went a bit mad for Nina Gordon’s cover of NWA’s Straight Outta Compton. In a similar vein, here’s wandering minstrel Willy Mason, with his take on Grandmaster Flash’s The Message (from a recent KCRW session). Somehow it works rather nicely.
